South Dakota High School Basketball - Elk Point-Jefferson sneaks past Roncalli
January 18, 2025: Aberdeen, SD 57401 The Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies (Elk Point, SD) basketball edged the host Roncalli Cavaliers (Aberdeen, SD), 47-42 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Huskies now possess a 8-1 record. They play next when they host Vermillion for a A Region 4 bout on Tuesday, January 21. Elk Point-Jefferson will play a Tanagers team coming off a 56-34 non-league loss to Mahpiya Luta (Pine Ridge, SD). The Tanagers record now stands at 9-2.
With the loss, Roncalli falls to 8-2 on the campaign. The Cavaliers host Tiospa Zina (Agency Village, SD) to play the Wambdi in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 21. The Wambdi go into the bout with a record of 4-6. Tiospa Zina won 51-48 in their recent league bout against Langford (Langford, SD)
