January 18, 2025: Ellijay, GA 30540 In Saturday's non-league test, the Gilmer Bobcats (Ellijay, GA) basketball squad trounced the visiting Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC), by a score of 67-22.
Next, the Bobcats encounter the Ridgeland Panthers (Rossville, GA) in a AAA Region 7 test, on Tuesday, January 21. Gilmer will attempt to improve on its 10-7 season record. The Panthers come into the test with a 4-15 record after their 66-26 league loss to LaFayette (LaFayette, GA).
The Bulldogs (7-8) will now prepare for their test against Cherokee (Cherokee, NC). The Braves go into the 1A Smoky Mountain game with a 11-1 record.
