California High School Basketball - Pioneer triumphant over Gunderson
January 18, 2025: San Jose, CA 95118 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Pioneer Mustangs (San Jose, CA) and the visiting Gunderson Grizzlies (San Jose, CA), observed Pioneer's basketball team overwhelm Gunderson by a score of 62-26.
The Mustangs (7-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Evergreen Valley (San Jose, CA). The Cougars come into the Blossom Valley - Mt. Hamilton challenge with a 13-3 record. In their last challenge, Evergreen Valley trounced Prospect (Saratoga, CA), 53-46, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Grizzlies encounter the Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors (San Jose, CA) in a Blossom Valley - West Valley challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Gunderson will attempt to improve on its 2-9 season record.
