In Saturday's non-league test, the Liberty Magnet Patriots (Baton Rouge, LA) basketball squad trounced the visiting Istrouma Indians (Baton Rouge, LA), by a score of 65-29.

Next, the Patriots clash with the Assumption Mustangs (Napoleonville, LA) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, January 21. Liberty Magnet will attempt to improve on its 11-12 season record. The Mustangs come into the test with a 7-12 record after their 37-33 non-league loss to New Iberia (New Iberia, LA).

The Indians (15-7) will now prepare for their test against McKinley (Baton Rouge, LA). The Panthers come into the 4A District 6 test with a 2-7 record.
