Kentucky High School Basketball - Pike County Central toppled by J.I. Burton
January 18, 2025: Pikeville, KY 41501 J.I. Burton Black Raiders (Norton, VA) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Pike County Central Hawks (Pikeville, KY), 63-55 in a non-league match.
With the victory, J.I. Burton advances its record to 9-1 on the year. The Black Raiders travel to Castlewood (Castlewood, VA) to face the Blue Devils in a Cumberland match on Tuesday, January 21. The Blue Devils enter the match with a record of 3-3.
The Hawks now own a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Elliott County for a non-league match on Saturday, January 18. Pike County Central will face a Lions squad coming off a 65-4 non-league loss to Raceland (Raceland, KY). The Lions record now stands at 0-4.
