In Saturday's non-league contest, the host McAdams Bulldogs basketball team scored a close 53-51 triumph over the Shaw Warriors.

The Bulldogs (12-10) will now prepare for their contest against Noxapater (Noxapater, MS). The Tigers go into the 1A Region 6 contest with a 7-12 record. In their last contest, Noxapater nipped French Camp Academy (French Camp, MS), 52-23, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Warriors confront the West Tallahatchie Choctaws (Webb, MS) in a 1A Region 5 contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Shaw will attempt to better on its 4-13 season record.
