West Virginia High School Basketball - Nitro overwhelms Musselman

January 18, 2025: Nitro, WV 25143

The Nitro Wildcats basketball team scored 71 points and limited the visiting Musselman Applemen to 37 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Wildcats now have a 8-2 record. They play next when they travel to Winfield for a Cardinal game on Tuesday, January 21. Nitro will confront a Generals team coming off a 49-33 non-league loss to Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, WV). The Generals record now stands at 6-6.

With the loss, Musselman falls to 8-4 on the campaign. The Applemen travel to Washington (Charles Town, WV) to confront the Patriots in a Eastern Panhandle game on Thursday, January 23. The Patriots go into the game with a record of 8-2. Washington won 54-39 in their recent league game against Martinsburg (Martinsburg, WV)
