Florida High School Basketball - Wharton overwhelms Spoto
January 18, 2025: Tampa, FL 33647 The Wharton Wildcats basketball team scored 51 points and limited the visiting Spoto Spartans to 17 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Wildcats now have a 6-4 record. They play next when they travel to Robinson for a non-league game on Saturday, January 18. Wharton will confront a Knights team coming off a 60-42 non-league win over Strawberry Crest (Dover, FL). The Knights record now stands at 2-5.
With the loss, Spoto falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Brandon (Brandon, FL) to confront the Eagles in a non-league game on Saturday, January 25. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 0-4. Brandon lost 72-51 in their recent non-league game against Gaither (Tampa, FL)
