January 18, 2025: Avalon, CA 90704 Verbum Dei Jesuit Eagles (Los Angeles, CA) boosters exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the host Avalon Lancers (Avalon, CA), 2-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Verbum Dei Jesuit moves its record to 4-11 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Cristo Rey Orange County (Santa Ana, CA) to clash with the Crocodiles in a non-league test on Monday, January 20. The Crocodiles come into the test with a record of 6-3.
The Lancers now sport a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they host Rio Mesa for a non-league test on Saturday, January 18. Avalon will clash with a Spartans team coming off a 4-3 league loss to Ventura (Ventura, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 11-9.
