The Howland Tigers basketball team scored 53 points and held the host East to 27 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Tigers now sport a 11-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Boardman for a All-American contest on Saturday, January 22. Howland will meet a Spartans team coming off a 71-14 non-league win over Chaney (Youngstown, OH). The Spartans record now stands at 5-9.

The (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Harding (Warren, OH). The Raiders enter the non-league contest with a 3-9 record. In their last contest, Harding was routed by Washington (Massillon, OH), 49-38, in a non-league contest.
