Louisiana High School Basketball - St. Thomas Aquinas fells Kentwood
January 19, 2023: Kentwood, LA 70444 St. Thomas Aquinas Falcons (Hammond, LA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Kentwood Kangaroos (Kentwood, LA), 65-52 in a non-league bout.
With the win, St. Thomas Aquinas upgrades its record to 12-8 on the season. The Falcons travel to Springfield (Springfield, LA) to play the Bulldogs in a 2A District 7 bout on Friday, January 20. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 7-13. Springfield lost 68-66 in their recent non-league bout against Holden (Holden, LA)
Next up, the Kangaroos play the Central Private Redhawks (Baker, LA) in a 1A District 9 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Kentwood will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Redhawks go into the bout with a 11-3 record after their 63-62 non-league win over Catholic of Pointe Coupee (New Roads, LA).
