Louisiana High School Basketball - Fontainebleau nips Live Oak
January 19, 2023: Watson, LA 70706 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Fontainebleau Bulldogs (Mandeville, LA) and the host Live Oak Eagles (Watson, LA), saw Fontainebleau's basketball squad hold off Live Oak by a tally of 37-33.
With the victory, Fontainebleau improves its record to 12-12 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Hammond (Hammond, LA) to play the Tornadoes in a 5A District 6 challenge on Friday, January 20. The Tornadoes come into the challenge with a record of 10-9. Hammond won 60-28 in their recent league challenge against Covington (Covington, LA)
Next up, the Eagles play the GEO Next Generation Tigers (Baton Rouge, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Live Oak will attempt to improve on its 5-8 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 5-12 record after their 52-26 non-league loss to East Iberville (St. Gabriel, LA).
