January 19, 2023: Frederick, MD 21701 The Maryland School for the Deaf Orioles (Frederick, MD) basketball nipped the visiting Hancock Panthers (Hancock, MD), 39-32 in Thursday's league test.
The Orioles (6-9) will now prepare for their test against Greater Grace Christian Academy (Baltimore, MD). The Eagles go into the Maryland Independent test with a 10-2 record. In their last test, Greater Grace Christian Academy was tipped by Rosedale Christian Academy (Baltimore, MD), 41-40, in a non-league test.
The Panthers now own a 0-10 record. They play next when they travel to Union for a non-league test on Monday, January 23. Hancock will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 48-39 league win over Tygarts Valley (Mill Creek, WV). The Tigers record now stands at 4-7.
