Northfield Nighthawks (Denver, CO) supporters exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their basketball team trounce the host Hinkley Thunderbirds (Aurora, CO), 58-18 in a league battle.

The Nighthawks now possess a 4-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Denver West for a 5A/4A Denver Prep battle on Saturday, January 21. Northfield will confront a Cowboys team coming off a 53-36 league loss to Far Northeast Warriors (Denver, CO). The Cowboys record now stands at 7-4.

The Thunderbirds (2-11) will now prepare for their battle against Rangeview (Aurora, CO). The Raiders come into the 6A Denver Prep battle with a 8-5 record. In their last battle, Rangeview was overwhelmed by Eaglecrest (Centennial, CO), 50-44, in a non-league battle.
