Pope John Paul II Jaguars (Slidell, LA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Our Lady Academy Crescents (Bay St. Louis, MS), 42-15 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pope John Paul II upgrades its record to 10-7 on the season. The Jaguars travel to Sumner (Kentwood, LA) to clash with the Cowboys in a non-league bout on Monday, January 23. The Cowboys go into the bout with a record of 0-8. Sumner lost 66-19 in their recent league bout against Amite (Amite, LA)

Next up, the Crescents clash with the Tylertown Chiefs (Tylertown, MS) in a 3A Region 8 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Our Lady Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 2-15 season record. The Chiefs go into the bout with a 1-6 record after their 57-17 league win over Our Lady Academy (Bay St. Louis, MS).
