January 19, 2024: Battle Creek, MI 49016 The Zion Christian Mountaineers (Byron Center, MI) basketball knocked off the host Calhoun Christian Cougars (Battle Creek, MI), 64-46 in Friday's non-league test.
The Mountaineers (6-3) will now prepare for their test against Tri-Unity Christian (Wyoming, MI). The Defenders go into the Alliance test with a 8-2 record. In their last test, Tri-Unity Christian went down by Covenant Christian (Grand Rapids, MI), 55-53, in a non-league test.
The Cougars now own a 5-6 record. They play next when they travel to Kellogg for a non-league test on Monday, January 22. Calhoun Christian will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 58-38 non-league win over Martin (Martin, MI). The Panthers record now stands at 5-4.
