South Dakota High School Basketball - McLaughlin holds off Dupree
January 19, 2024: Dupree, SD 57623 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the McLaughlin Mustangs (McLaughlin, SD) and the host Dupree Tigers (Dupree, SD), saw McLaughlin's basketball squad hold off Dupree by a tally of 59-52.
With the victory, McLaughlin improves its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Miller (Miller, SD) to confront the Rustlers in a A Region 6 challenge on Saturday, January 20. The Rustlers come into the challenge with a record of 2-7.
Next up, the Tigers confront the Bison Cardinals (Bison, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 22. Dupree will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 2-6 record after their 52-36 non-league loss to Grant County co-op [Carson/Elgin-New Leipzig/Mott-Regent] (Elgin, ND).
