Louisiana High School Basketball - Oberlin nudges Gueydan
January 19, 2024: Gueydan, LA 70542 Oberlin Tigers (Oberlin, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Gueydan Bears (Gueydan, LA), 63-57 in a league bout.
With the win, Oberlin upgrades its record to 2-22 on the season. The Tigers host Hamilton Christian (Lake Charles, LA) to clash with the Warriors in a 1A District 5 bout on Monday, January 22. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 9-13. Hamilton Christian won 74-57 in their recent non-league bout against Church Point (Church Point, LA)
Next up, the Bears clash with the East Beauregard Trojans (DeRidder, LA) in a 1A District 5 bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Gueydan will attempt to upgrade on its 4-11 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 6-12 record after their 58-55 league win over Elton (Elton, LA).
