Illinois High School Basketball - Ottawa fells Sycamore
January 19, 2024: Ottawa, IL 61350 Ottawa Pirates (Ottawa, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Sycamore Spartans (Sycamore, IL), 50-34 in a league bout.
With the win, Ottawa upgrades its record to 8-8 on the season. The Pirates host Marmion (Aurora, IL) to play the Cadets in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 24. The Cadets go into the bout with a record of 9-11.
Next up, the Spartans play the Elgin Maroons (Elgin, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 20. Sycamore will attempt to upgrade on its 9-11 season record. The Maroons go into the bout with a 5-13 record after their 67-39 league loss to Aurora East (Aurora, IL).
