Oklahoma High School Basketball - Putnam City tipped by Bishop McGuinness
January 19, 2024: Oklahoma City, OK 73122 The Bishop McGuinness Fighting Irish basketball team scored 47 points and held the host Putnam City Pirates to 46 in the Fighting Irish non-league triumph on Friday.
The Fighting Irish now sport a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Del City for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 20. Bishop McGuinness will meet a Eagles team coming off a 63-52 non-league loss to Charles Page (Sand Springs, OK). The Eagles record now stands at 6-8.
The Pirates (6-9) will now prepare for their contest against Grant (Oklahoma City, OK). The Generals enter the 6A District 3 contest with a 3-9 record. In their last contest, Grant was nudged by Christian Heritage (Del City, OK), 55-38, in a non-league contest.
