Georgia High School Basketball - East Coweta can't hold off Carver

The Carver Panthers basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the visiting East Coweta Indians to 48 in the Panthers non-league victory on Friday.

The Panthers now sport a 11-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Douglass for a AAA Region 5 contest on Tuesday, January 23. Carver will battle a Astros team coming off a 51-14 league win over Cedar Grove (Ellenwood, GA). The Astros record now stands at 11-9.

The Indians (4-10) will now prepare for their contest against Campbell (Smyrna, GA). The Spartans come into the AAAAAAA Region 2 contest with a 13-7 record. In their last contest, Campbell edged Westlake (Atlanta, GA), 53-35, in a league contest.
