January 19, 2024: Millbury, MA 01527 Millbury Woolies (Millbury, MA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Leicester Wolverines (Leicester, MA), 64-25 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Millbury upgrades its record to 7-4 on the season. The Woolies travel to Tantasqua Regional (Fiskdale, MA) to confront the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 22. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 6-3. Tantasqua Regional won 42-36 in their recent non-league challenge against Auburn (Auburn, MA)
Next up, the Wolverines confront the Quaboag Regional Cougars (Warren, MA) in a South Worcester County - A challenge, on Monday, January 22. Leicester will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 45-14 non-league win over Oxford (Oxford, MA).
