Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Mason County Eastern Cardinals (Custer, MI) and the host Bear Lake Lakers (Bear Lake, MI), saw Mason County Eastern's basketball squad hold off Bear Lake by a tally of 46-44.

With the victory, Mason County Eastern improves its record to 2-7 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Brethren (Brethren, MI) to confront the Bobcats in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 0-1.
