New York High School Basketball - Byron-Bergen holds off Wheatland-Chili
January 19, 2024: Scottsville, NY 14546 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Byron-Bergen Bees (Bergen, NY) and the host Wheatland-Chili Wildcats (Scottsville, NY), saw Byron-Bergen's basketball squad hold off Wheatland-Chili by a tally of 22-20.
With the victory, Byron-Bergen improves its record to 3-9 on the campaign. The Bees travel to Notre Dame (Batavia, NY) to confront the Fighting Irish in a challenge on Monday, January 22. The Fighting Irish come into the challenge with a record of 6-0.
Next up, the Wildcats confront the Caledonia-Mumford Raiders (Caledonia, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 27. Wheatland-Chili will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 10-3 record after their 49-31 non-league win over Pavilion (Pavilion, NY).
