Eastern Hancock Royals (Charlottesville, IN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Monroe Central Golden Bears (Parker City, IN), 53-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Eastern Hancock upgrades its record to 9-3 on the season. The Royals host Shenandoah (Middletown, IN) to clash with the Raiders in a bout on Saturday, January 20. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 2-1. Shenandoah lost 37-29 in their recent non-league bout against Northeastern (Fountain City, IN)

Next up, the Golden Bears clash with the Blackford Bruins (Hartford City, IN) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 20. Monroe Central will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Bruins go into the bout with a 8-6 record after their 46-33 league win over Frankton (Frankton, IN).
