January 19, 2025: Boxford, MA 01983 Masconomet Regional Chieftains (Boxford, MA) supporters left the game happy Sunday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Chelmsford Lions (North Chelmsford, MA), 78-41 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Masconomet Regional advances its record to 10-0 on the year. The Chieftains travel to Swampscott (Swampscott, MA) to face the Big Blue in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 21. The Big Blue enter the match with a record of 7-3. Swampscott lost 44-36 in their recent non-league match against Haldane (Cold Spring, NY)
The Lions now own a 1-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Andover for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 21. Chelmsford will face a Scarlet Knights squad coming off a 68-56 league win over Lawrence (Lawrence, MA). The Scarlet Knights record now stands at 5-3.
