January 19, 2025: New Britain, CT 06051 The crowd at Sunday's non-league challenge between the Glens Falls Black Bears (Glens Falls, NY) and the host New Britain Golden Hurricanes (New Britain, CT), saw Glens Falls's basketball team bounce New Britain by a tally of 72-51.
The Black Bears now possess a 13-0 record. They play next when they host Scotia-Glenville for a Section 2 Foothills game on Thursday, January 23. Glens Falls will play a Tartans team coming off a 75-51 league loss to Gloversville (Gloversville, NY). The Tartans record now stands at 0-10.
With the loss, New Britain falls to 6-7 on the campaign. The Golden hurricanes host Farmington (Farmington, CT) to play the River Hawks in a Central Connecticut - West Colonial game on Friday, January 24. The River Hawks go into the game with a record of 3-6. Farmington won 61-55 in their recent non-league game against Xavier (Middletown, CT)
