Ohio High School Basketball - Purcell Marian holds off Springboro
January 19, 2025: Springboro, OH 45066 The Purcell Marian Cavaliers basketball team scored 44 points and limited the host Springboro Panthers to 41 in the Cavaliers non-league triumph on Sunday.
The Cavaliers now have a 10-4 record. They play next when they travel to Lawrence Central for a non-league game on Monday, January 20. Purcell Marian will confront a Bears team coming off a 68-44 league win over Lawrence North (Indianapolis, IN). The Bears record now stands at 17-1.
With the loss, Springboro falls to 11-3 on the campaign. The Panthers host Fairmont (Kettering, OH) to confront the Firebirds in a Greater Western Ohio game on Wednesday, January 22. The Firebirds go into the game with a record of 12-2. Fairmont lost 54-42 in their recent non-league game against Notre Dame Academy (Toledo, OH)
