January 2, 2023: Mossyrock, WA 98564 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Rainier Mountaineers (Rainier, WA) and the host Mossyrock Vikings (Mossyrock, WA), saw Rainier's basketball squad hold off Mossyrock by a count of 59-53.
With the victory, Rainier upgrades its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Mountaineers travel to Toledo (Toledo, WA) to play the Indians in a 2B Central test on Thursday, January 5. The Indians go into the test with a record of 6-5. Toledo won 58-54 in their recent non-league test against Ocosta (Westport, WA)
The Vikings now own a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to Pe Ell for a 1B Coastal test on Wednesday, January 4. Mossyrock will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 61-42 league win over Oakville (Oakville, WA). The Trojans record now stands at 4-4.
