The Northwestern Area Wildcats basketball team scored 68 points and restricted the visiting Waverly/South Shore Coyotes to 35 in the Wildcats league victory on Monday.

The Wildcats now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ipswich for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 3. Northwestern Area will battle a Tigers team coming off a 67-20 non-league win over St. Francis Indian (St. Francis, SD). The Tigers record now stands at 2-0.

The Coyotes (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Leola/Frederick (Leola, SD). The Titans come into the B Region 1 contest with a 1-1 record.
