Virginia High School Basketball - Hanover crushes New Kent
January 2, 2023: Mechanicsville, VA 23116 Hanover Hawks (Mechanicsville, VA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting New Kent Trojans (New Kent, VA), 63-24 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Hanover upgrades its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Atlee (Mechanicsville, VA) to play the Raiders in a Capital bout on Thursday, January 5. The Raiders come into the bout with a record of 3-6. Atlee lost 52-25 in their recent league bout against Varina (Richmond, VA)
Next up, the Trojans play the Jamestown Eagles (Williamsburg, VA) in a Bay Rivers bout, on Tuesday, January 3. New Kent will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 8-1 record after their 63-27 league win over Smithfield (Smithfield, VA).
