Kentucky High School Basketball - Anderson County nips Garrard County
January 2, 2024: Lancaster, KY 40444 Anderson County Bearcats (Lawrenceburg, KY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Garrard County Golden Lions (Lancaster, KY), 48-44 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Anderson County upgrades its record to 10-4 on the season. The Bearcats travel to Shelby County (Shelbyville, KY) to play the Rockets in a District 30 bout on Friday, January 5. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 7-6. Shelby County lost 76-68 in their recent non-league bout against South Oldham (Crestwood, KY)
Next up, the Golden Lions play the Danville Admirals (Danville, KY) in a District 45 bout, on Friday, January 5. Garrard County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-10 season record.
