Missouri High School Basketball - Southern Reynolds tops East Carter
January 2, 2024: Ellington, MO 63638 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Southern Reynolds Whippets (Ellington, MO) and the visiting East Carter Redbirds (Ellsinore, MO), saw Southern Reynolds's basketball squad knock off East Carter by a count of 61-53.
With the victory, Southern Reynolds upgrades its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Whippets host Marquand-Zion (Marquand, MO) to play the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 5. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 2-5.
Next up, the Redbirds play the Lesterville Bearcats (Lesterville, MO) in a Black River challenge, on Thursday, January 4. East Carter will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Bearcats come into the challenge with a 1-9 record after their 67-39 non-league loss to Fredericktown (Fredericktown, MO).
