New York High School Basketball - Long Island City knocked off by Metropolitan
January 2, 2024: Long Island City, NY 11106 The Metropolitan basketball team scored 57 points and held the host Long Island City Bulldogs to 38 in the non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The now sport a 3-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Explorations Academy for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 3. Metropolitan will battle a team coming off a 78-44 non-league win over American Studies (Bronx, NY). The record now stands at 5-3.
The Bulldogs (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Bryant (Queens, NY). The Owls enter the PSAL AAA Queens I contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Bryant was defeated by Richmond Hill (Richmond Hill, NY), 64-59, in a non-league contest.
