January 2, 2024: China Spring, TX 76633 Jarrell Cougars (Jarrell, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host China Spring Cougars (China Spring, TX), 56-44 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Jarrell moves its record to 16-9 on the year. The Cougars travel to Marble Falls (Marble Falls, TX) to face the Mustangs in a 4A Region III District 24 game on Tuesday, January 9. The Mustangs enter the game with a record of 4-18.
With the defeat, China Spring moves to 6-17 on the year. The Cougars host Connally (Waco, TX) to face the Cadets in a 4A Region III District 23 game on Friday, January 5. The Cadets enter the game with a record of 16-8. Connally won 59-48 in their recent non-league game against Ponder (Ponder, TX)
