The Red River Roughriders basketball team scored 69 points and held the visiting Devils Lake Firebirds to 42 in the Roughriders non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Roughriders now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lincoln for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 6. Red River will battle a Patriots team coming off a 41-25 league loss to Riggs (Pierre, SD). The Patriots record now stands at 0-7.

The Firebirds (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against Turtle Mountain (Belcourt, ND). The Braves enter the non-league contest with a 4-3 record.
