The Hitchcock County Falcons basketball team (Trenton, NE), dropped 43-35 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Southwest Roughriders (Bartley, NE)

The Roughriders now possess a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cambridge for a non-league battle on Friday, January 5. Southwest will confront a Trojans team coming off a 37-23 non-league loss to Norton (Norton, KS). The Trojans record now stands at 7-4.

The Falcons (4-6) will now prepare for their battle against Wauneta-Palisade (Wauneta, NE). The Broncos come into the D2 District 9 battle with a 5-3 record. In their last battle, Wauneta-Palisade beat Dundy County-Stratton (Benkelman, NE), 44-35, in a league battle.
