Texas High School Basketball - Ira can't hold off Paducah
January 2, 2024: Ira, TX 79527 The Paducah Dragons basketball team scored 53 points and held the host Ira Bulldogs to 49 in the Dragons non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Dragons now sport a 13-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Spur for a 1A Region I District 5 contest on Friday, January 5. Paducah will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 51-39 non-league loss to Breckenridge (Breckenridge, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-8.
The Bulldogs (6-11) will now prepare for their contest against Highland (Roscoe, TX). The Hornets enter the 1A Region II District 14 contest with a 4-12 record. In their last contest, Highland was nudged by Colorado (Colorado City, TX), 56-35, in a non-league contest.
