With the victory, Leake Academy improves its record to 19-3 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Wayne Academy (Waynesboro, MS) to confront the Jaguars in a MAIS 5A District 2 challenge on Thursday, January 4. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a record of 4-12. Wayne Academy lost 46-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Jackson Prep (Jackson, MS)
Next up, the Raiders confront the Canton Academy Panthers (Canton, MS) in a MAIS 4A District 3 challenge, on Thursday, January 4. Oak Hill Academy will attempt to improve on its 12-3 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 53-18 non-league loss to Tri-County Academy (Flora, MS).
