The Sanford-Fritch Eagles (Fritch, TX) basketball knocked off the host Memphis Cyclones (Memphis, TX), 49-40 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Eagles (14-8) will now prepare for their test against Stratford (Stratford, TX). The Elks go into the 2A Region I District 1 test with a 11-6 record. In their last test, Stratford went down by Dalhart (Dalhart, TX), 36-30, in a non-league test.

The Cyclones now own a 7-4 record. They play next when they travel to Quanah for a 2A Region I District 2 test on Friday, January 5. Memphis will encounter a Indians squad coming off a 42-35 non-league loss to Childress (Childress, TX). The Indians record now stands at 9-12.
