January 2, 2025: Los Altos, CA 94022 Evergreen Valley Cougars (San Jose, CA) supporters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Los Altos Eagles (Los Altos, CA), 54-43 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Evergreen Valley advances its record to 8-3 on the year. The Cougars host Piedmont Hills (San Jose, CA) to face the Pirates in a non-league match on Monday, January 6. The Pirates enter the match with a record of 6-4. Piedmont Hills lost 73-59 in their recent non-league match against Palma (Salinas, CA)
The Eagles now own a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wilcox for a Santa Clara Valley - De Anza match on Saturday, January 4. Los Altos will face a Chargers squad coming off a 58-55 non-league win over Mission San Jose (Fremont, CA). The Chargers record now stands at 6-1.
