The Lawrence Central Bears basketball squad (Indianapolis, IN), was outscored 76-66 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Portage Indians (Portage, IN)

With the victory, Portage advances its record to 7-3 on the year. The Indians travel to Fort Wayne Wayne (Fort Wayne, IN) to meet the Generals in a non-league battle on Friday, January 3. The Generals enter the battle with a record of 5-2. Fort Wayne Wayne won 81-32 in their recent non-league battle against Woodlan (Woodburn, IN)

The Bears now own a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Park Tudor for a non-league battle on Wednesday, January 8. Lawrence Central will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 66-63 non-league loss to Evansville Harrison (Evansville, IN). The Panthers record now stands at 2-5.
