The Columbus HomeSchool Hawks defeated the visiting Southwestern Spartans basketball squad by a final score of 59-49 in Thursday's non-league outing.

Next, the Hawks clash with the Shawe Memorial Hilltoppers (Madison, IN) in a non-league outing, on Thursday, January 2. Columbus HomeSchool will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Hilltoppers come into the outing with a 9-3 record after their 48-36 non-league loss to Henryville (Henryville, IN).

The Spartans (2-13) will now prepare for their outing against Austin (Austin, IN). The Eagles come into the non-league outing with a 12-1 record. In their last outing, Austin overcame Trinity Lutheran (Seymour, IN), 55-54, in a non-league outing.
