The Otay Ranch Mustangs (Chula Vista, CA) basketball edged the visiting Torrey Pines Falcons (San Diego, CA), 44-43 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Mustangs now possess a 13-2 record. They play next when they travel to Mission Hills for a non-league bout on Friday, January 3. Otay Ranch will play a Grizzlies team coming off a 38-27 non-league win over Beckman (Irvine, CA). The Grizzlies record now stands at 7-4.

With the loss, Torrey Pines falls to 8-5 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Granite Hills (El Cajon, CA) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, January 3. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 6-5. Granite Hills won 59-49 in their recent non-league bout against Santa Fe Christian (Solana Beach, CA)
