January 2, 2025: Cornish, ME 04041 Traip Rangers (Kittery, ME) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Sacopee Valley Hawks (Cornish, ME), 35-25 in a league match.
With the victory, Traip upgrades its record to 3-4 on the year. The Rangers travel to Waynflete (Portland, ME) to face the Flyers in a non-league match on Saturday, January 4. The Flyers enter the match with a record of 1-6. Waynflete lost 44-21 in their recent league match against St. Dominic (Lewiston, ME)
The Hawks now sport a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hall-Dale for a C South match on Saturday, January 4. Sacopee Valley will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 51-47 league loss to Winthrop (Winthrop, ME). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-2.
