The Russell Rustlers basketball squad (Great Falls, MT), lost 54-45 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Hellgate Knights (Missoula, MT)

With the victory, Hellgate advances its record to 3-1 on the year. The Knights host Glacier (Kalispell, MT) to battle the Wolfpack in a AA Western contest on Thursday, January 8. The Wolfpack come into the contest with a record of 3-2. Glacier won 79-34 in their recent non-league contest against Belgrade (Belgrade, MT)

In their next game, the Rustlers battle the Capital Bruins (Helena, MT) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 3. Russell will attempt to better on its 3-1 season record. The Bruins come into the contest with a 1-1 record after their 49-43 non-league loss to Billings Senior (Billings, MT).
