California High School Basketball - Apple Valley overwhelms Academy for Academic Excellence
January 20, 2023: Apple Valley, CA 92307 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Apple Valley Sun Devils (Apple Valley, CA) and the host Academy for Academic Excellence Knights (Apple Valley, CA), saw Apple Valley's basketball squad wallop Academy for Academic Excellence by a tally of 85-61.
With the victory, Apple Valley improves its record to 12-9 on the campaign. The Sun Devils travel to Oak Hills (Hesperia, CA) to confront the Bulldogs in a Mojave River challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 13-10. Oak Hills won 61-46 in their recent league challenge against Hesperia (Hesperia, CA)
Next up, the Knights confront the Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy (Victorville, CA) in a Cross Valley challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Academy for Academic Excellence will attempt to improve on its 8-6 season record. The come into the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 64-34 league loss to Big Bear (Big Bear City, CA).
