Ansonia Chargers (Ansonia, CT) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Watertown Indians (Watertown, CT), 87-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ansonia upgrades its record to 5-6 on the season. The Chargers travel to Derby (Derby, CT) to clash with the Red Raiders in a Naugatuck Valley - Copper bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Red Raiders go into the bout with a record of 0-10. Derby lost 90-44 in their recent league bout against Waterbury Career Academy (Waterbury, CT)

Next up, the Indians clash with the Bristol Eastern Lancers (Bristol, CT) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 23. Watertown will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record. The Lancers go into the bout with a 7-3 record after their 74-28 non-league win over Rocky Hill (Rocky Hill, CT).
