Pennsylvania High School Basketball - South Williamsport overwhelms Benton
January 20, 2023: Benton, PA 17814 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the South Williamsport Mountaineers (South Williamsport, PA) and the host Benton Tigers (Benton, PA), saw South Williamsport's basketball squad wallop Benton by a tally of 55-27.
With the victory, South Williamsport improves its record to 9-7 on the campaign. The Mountaineers travel to Millville (Millville, PA) to confront the Quakers in a Midd-Penn challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Quakers come into the challenge with a record of 2-12. Millville lost 40-27 in their recent league challenge against Montgomery (Montgomery, PA)
Next up, the Tigers confront the Muncy Indians (Muncy, PA) in a Midd-Penn challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Benton will attempt to improve on its 0-8 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 12-4 record after their 50-43 league loss to Northwest Area (Shickshinny, PA).
