Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Cozad Haymakers (Cozad, NE) and the visiting Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, NE), saw Cozad's basketball squad hold off Lexington by a count of 42-41.

With the victory, Cozad upgrades its record to 10-6 on the campaign. The Haymakers travel to Holdrege (Holdrege, NE) to play the Dusters in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Dusters come into the challenge with a record of 10-4. Holdrege won 64-53 in their recent non-league challenge against Minden (Minden, NE)

Next up, the Minutemen play the Broken Bow Indians (Broken Bow, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Lexington will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record.
